Dad in the Kitchen
Over 100 Delicious Family Recipes You'll Love to Make and They'll Love to Eat
Ready for the tips and tricks that will turn the dad in your life into a hero in the kitchen?
May 16, 2023, marks the launch of Dad in the Kitchen written by highly-acclaimed chef, restaurateur and dad, Cory Vitiello and fellow dad and celebrated food writer, Chris Johns.
This is the dynamic duo of dads’ first cookbook together. After learning to adapt their cooking skills and culinary repertoires to cater to a demanding new clientele—their young families—they were inspired to put pen to paper to help their fellow dads out.
This cookbook is a crowd-pleasing collection of recipes that aims both to instill confidence in the home cook, while simultaneously developing the next generation of adventurous eaters in the family.
With recipes to catapult the cook firmly into superstardom, Dad in the Kitchen is a must-have cookbook written by dads for dads. But it’s also for anyone who might become a dad or anyone with a dad. It’s also for moms, daughters, sons, uncles, aunts, and everyone in between, encouraging all family members to gather and cook from its pages.
With Cory and Chris as your guides, you’ll find ideas for any time of day, and any day of the week, with recipes including:
- Cast-Iron Baked Eggplant Parmesan: This take on eggplant parmesan is super fun to prepare and to eat—built so that every ounce of the sauce gets absorbed, forming incredible savoury flavours that will please the whole family.
- Sweet Pea & Avocado Guacamole: In addition to being fairly health-conscious, this version is also a little easier on the pocketbook. It uses equal parts green peas to avocado, lightening up the recipe while imbuing it with a vibrant green colour (and added greens, for the picky little ones in your life!).
- Roast Chicken Over Pommes Boulangère: Requiring only 20 minutes of prep time, all of which can be done ahead, this recipe results in beautifully roasted chicken and a batch of incredible potatoes with a crisp, dark exterior and a luscious, almost molten, interior.
